Nurse of the Year

Nominate a special individual who delivers outstanding patient care. Someone who pursues excellence in nursing, has delivered positive outcomes in the face of adversity, or has performed above the expectations of their role.

Who is eligible?

Nominees must be an individual registered or enrolled nurse, midwife, personal care attendant or assistant in nursing currently working in Australia.

Nominations must demonstrate how the nominated nurse has proven to be exceptional in one of the following areas:

  • the nominee has made an exceptional contribution to improving care / outcomes for patients
  • the nominee has delivered a positive outcome in service provision or patient care, in the face of adversity or other challenges
  • the nominee has shown kindness, understanding, compassion or courage, above and beyond their role as a nurse.
