Team Innovation

A nursing profession led team, that has demonstrated innovation by initiating a product, service or system that benefits patients and/or the community. A team that shows willingness to share their knowledge - contributing to a healthier future for all Australians.

Who is eligible?

Nominated teams must include one individual who is currently working as a nurse, midwife, personal care attendant or assistant in nursing in Australia.

Nominations must demonstrate all of the following:

  • the innovation addresses an identified health need, enhances health outcomes or improves clinical practice and the patient experience
  • the individual and/or team has initiated and/or developed a unique product, service or system themselves
  • how the innovation has had a positive impact on patients and/or the community, demonstrating the need/s the product, service or system has fulfilled
  • how the prize money - a $10,000 grant - will enhance and assist in further development of the innovation, together with a clear plan of how the product, service or system has been or will be implemented
